How to Compare Two Black Garlic Supplements Fairly
29 September 2026
If two black-garlic bottles look similar, a fair comparison requires more than the largest number on the front label.
1. Match the ingredient form
Compare powder with powder and extract with a genuinely comparable extract where possible. An extract-equivalent number is not the same as actual finished ingredient weight.
2. Compare per serving, not only per capsule
One brand may define a serving as one capsule and another as two. Use the labelled serving to avoid misleading comparisons.
3. Check standardisation
If one product declares a marker such as SAC and another does not, they provide different levels of compositional information. Do not invent a marker value for the non-standardized product.
4. Count usable servings
A bottle with more capsules is not always a better value if the serving size is larger. Divide the total capsule count by the labelled capsules per serving.
5. Compare safety and traceability information
Directions, warnings, manufacturer details, batch information and storage instructions are part of product quality communication.
6. Calculate price per serving
This is usually more meaningful than bottle price alone, but it still does not measure clinical effectiveness.
7. Do not reward exaggerated claims
Disease-treatment language and borrowed study results should lower confidence, not increase it.
